Urban Healthcare Group which I started sometime back to include a chain of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), dental and veterinary medical centers, welcomes a new and valuable addition, Zul Erwan UniVet Pet Clinic. Led by Dr Zul Erwan (2nd right), the veterinary team also consists of (from left) Dr Muhamad Amir, Dr Puteri Nur Natasha and Dr Mohamad Rabbani. Over the years, the clinic has served over thousands of customers by giving the best care for their pets, mostly cats.

Upon its acquisition, we’ve expanded the vet clinic’s services to include dogs and other animals. Renovations were made to create separate entrances and facilities that address the sensitivities of our customers. The Zul Erwan UniVet Pet Clinic will be the first of a series of satellite clinics we shall set up or acquire to be a feeder ecosystem for our soon-to-be launched 8-storey multi-million ringgit UniVet Medical Centre for Pets in Icon City, Petaling Jaya. While the common illnesses and diseases will be treated at the clinics, the more serious cases and surgeries would be referred to the main center.
It’s going to be one of the most advanced private veterinary hospitals in the country, with facilities and services ranging from intensive care unit, CT scan, ultrasound, vaccination, heart-worm prevention, antiparasitic, blood screening and complicated surgeries, among other treatments. We brought in a team from University Putra Malaysia as consultants for the initial planning, and the medical centre is expected to be up and running in a few months’ time.
For Zul Erwan UniVet Pet Clinic, its location at Sungai Buloh in the northern Petaling District is strategic, with its close proximity to many feline lovers. I think there’re great growth prospects, as with the expanded services, more animals will gain access to our quality healthcare, which they rightfully deserve. Every life matters, whether it walks on 2 or on 4 legs.
