The Harvard Suites is the final tower to be launched at our project called Edusentral which is in the fast maturing location of Setia Alam. This low-density project is on a 12-acre freehold land, a walking distance away from the bustling Setia City Mall. The development also features the Peninsula Private School and Peninsula International School Australia (Malaysia Campus), which are also owned and operated by my education group.

Edusentral, which has a gross development value of RM1.12 billion, is part of HCK’s much-vaunted education cities, and was in fact the first of the series to begin construction. There will be just 378 units of condominiums in Harvard Suites, the last of 6 towers. It will provide a sense of exclusivity that is hard to beat at its price point. The mixed development also consists of shoplots, retail and office space.

There are a total of about 2260 units in the entire undertaking, which are almost fully taken up. The place has become a hive of commercial activity. The good response has prompted HCK Capital Group to acquire 3 pieces of freehold land across the road, totally 6 acres and a cost of about RM60 million from the main developer of the Setia Alam township, SP Setia Berhad.

We plan to call the new project Edura Sentral, a smartcity which will house smart homes, a private K-12 school, a health hub and a pet-friendly residential tower. It’s expected to generate a GDV of over RM700 million. When we know, based on current sales performances, that a location holds great asset appreciation potential, it makes good sense to continue the winning streak. I think we don’t need to be great and grand in all the projects that we do. We just need to be consistent and continuous.
