(This is reproduced from the posting I made on my Facebook Page on 3rd May 2026.)

Charlize is now six years old, and I see her almost everyday before she goes to school and in the evenings. Her dad, my son Clifford, asked Al to imagine an image of her as a teenager. Al has even created her image as a student in SEGi University, and it would be unlikely I would still be actively running the institution by that time, about 12 or 13 years from now.

I chuckled at the sight of Charlize going to a night spot, and you can see in the photo that I followed her there, probably worried about her safety and all. Another photo shows her working at HCK under my mentorship. I hope I live to see her achieve her dreams. They say Charlize is my favorite. I think it’s because she likes to hug and talk to me, while her twin brothers Christian and Chase would be too engrossed with doing their own things to notice who and what’s around them.

While it’s fun to play with our grandchildren, I think we shouldn’t have too much say in their upbringing. They have their own parents who should know what’s best for them. But like all family elders, we hope the little ones will grow up to become productive members of our local community and society. Charlize and the other grandkids will choose a profession of their choice, and I hope they get to do passionate and meaningful work. Love comes in many forms for the those closest to us, and one of it is trusting them to find their own way.
