Peninsula International School Australia (PISA) has officially set a new benchmark for education in Malaysia. In a groundbreaking move to future-proof its classrooms, 100% of PISA’s teachers and assistant teachers have completed advanced AI training and certification.

Every single faculty member is now certified as both a Google Certified Educator and a Google Gemini Educator, alongside earning a Certificate in the Fundamentals of AI for Educators from The National College, the world’s top workforce empowerment hub. This milestone makes PISA the first school in Malaysia to achieve a fully AI-credentialed teaching staff.

“Artificial Intelligence is fundamentally reshaping our world,” says PISA’s Principal, Mr Gareth Allman (shown in AI generated pic of billboard). “For our students to thrive, their teachers must be master navigators of these technologies, rather than mere observers.” By mastering these cutting-edge platforms, PISA’s educators are doing much more than just keeping up with technology. They are actively using AI to, among others, personalize learning, tailoring educational experiences to meet every student’s unique needs.

This digital revolution isn’t isolated to PISA in my public-listed SEGi education group. The school’s sister institutions – including SEGi University and Colleges, Peninsula Private School, Future Edge Colleges and Imperial International School, with a combined student population of about 16,000 – are also rapidly transforming into AI-integrated campuses.

But we are proud with PISA making the dash and creating a records of sorts. By embedding AI into the fabric of its teaching and learning experiences, PISA ensures its students aren’t just reacting to the future – they are being prepared to lead it.
