Mr. Foong Peng Yew
Group Managing Director, Property & Projects
Mr. Foong graduated with a Honours Degree in Building Economics & Quantity Surveying from the United Kingdom in 1982. He is a registered Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors Malaysia and a Chartered Quantity Surveyor registered as a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), United Kingdom.
He has extensive experience in the property and construction sectors, having held key senior managerial positions in companies like Pilecon Engineering Bhd, Visage Group and Mayland Group. Among others, he had overseen the development and construction of the 28-storey Office Tower for Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka in Kuala Lumpur and a Fishing Port in Batu Maung, Penang. In the Mayland Group, he oversaw the development and construction of projects with a cumulative GDV of over RM1 billion.
Datuk Dr. Dennis Ling PhD
Group Managing Director, Operations & Group Management
Datuk Dr. Dennis Ling holds a PhD in Manufacturing Engineering and a BEng (Hons) in Mechanical and Manufacturing from University of South Australia in 2006 and 1999 respectively. Prior to joining HCK Properties, Datuk Dr. Dennis Ling has been working in various industries in Australia including semiconductor, automotive and building materials manufacturing.
He was exposed to various roles from engineering, procurement, product development and project management. His experience in property involves composite building materials technology and property procurement and property management.
Datuk Simon Kwan
Managing Director, Group Growth & Alliances
Datuk Simon Kwan holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Southern Queensland, Australia, and has over 30 years of experience across engineering, sales, marketing, and property development.
He began his career as a Technical and Sales Executive before moving into property development in 1993, where he focused on driving sales and launching market-relevant concepts. His strong academic background and industry expertise also led to early exposure in international trade.
Prior to joining HCK, he was an Executive Director at Sunsuria Berhad, overseeing multiple departments and leading key growth initiatives.
At HCK, Datuk Simon heads the Group Growth & Alliances division, overseeing sales and marketing, government liaison, customer experience, agency development, co-project planning and implementation, as well as supply chain management.
Datin Adeline Hii
Executive Director, Operations & Compliance
A chartered accountant by training, she received her Masters of Commerce and Bachelor of Business (Accountancy) from Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane.
She’s registered as a Chartered Accountant with the Malaysia Institute of Accountants and is a Certified Practicing Accountant of CPA Australia LTD. Datin Adeline used to head the Audit Department of an Australian Chartered Accountant firm, specialising in Solicitors, Real Estates and Travel Agencies Trust Accounts.
She was also a senior tax agent and auditor with 10 years of experience in the same firm which has over 1,000 clients. Subsequently, she joined HCK Capital Group where she was the Director for Finance.
Ms. Chuah Huei Jiun
Executive Director, Finance and Corporate Affairs
Ms. Chuah Huei Jiun is a seasoned finance professional with over 25 years of experience in public accounting and senior leadership roles. She is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and a member of both the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA).
She has served as Chief Financial Officer in a public listed company, managing financial planning, treasury, taxation, budgeting, and risk management. Ms. Chuah has also led key corporate exercises including IPOs, M&A due diligence, and employee share schemes, bringing extensive expertise in audit, tax, and financial advisory across multiple industries.
Ms. Peggy Yeoh
Senior Director, Marketing & Agencies Growth
Ms. Peggy graduated from the University of Southern Queensland, Australia, with a Bachelor of Information Technology, majoring in Information Technology Management and Marketing. She has 15 years of experience in banking, specialising in property and mortgage financing with Hong Leong Bank and Alliance Bank.
In 2015, she transitioned to a career in property development with EcoWorld, where she managed Sales & Marketing for two township developments: Eco Sanctuary in Kota Kemuning and Eco Grandeur in Puncak Alam. In July 2021, she advanced to the position of Deputy General Manager at Paragrene Land Berhad, overseeing several mixed-development projects with a total Gross Development Value (GDV) of up to RM3 billion.
With a decade of experience in property development and 15 years in banking, she has achieved significant success in her career. She recently joined HCK as Senior Director, where she is responsible for managing the portfolio of Marketing and Agencies Growth.
Ms. Samantha Tan
Senior Director, Sales & Partners Engagement
Ms. Samantha has over 20 years of experience in property development and management, excelling in leadership roles that encompass overseeing large-scale projects, customer service, and leasing operations. She holds a Degree in Business Administration (Honours) from the University of Hertfordshire, UK. Samantha is renowned for her hands-on approach, strategic mindset, and ability to drive operational efficiency within the property sector.
As Senior Director of Sales & Partner Engagement at HCK Group, she leads strategic initiatives to enhance property developments by integrating innovative concepts and achieving sales targets. Her role centres on building strong partnerships, driving excellence in customer service, and highlighting the unique value of HCK’s projects.
Ar. Siti Sakina Binti Sheik Jamaluddin
Senior Director, Projects
Ar. Siti Sakina holds a Master of Science in Project Management, a Bachelor of Architecture, and a Bachelor of Science in Housing, Building, and Planning. She was awarded a full scholarship for the USM Exchange Program with Fachhochschule Aachen, Germany. Proficient in English, Malay, and German, she brings a diverse set of skills to her role. She is an assessor for the Heritage Impact Assessment (HIA), a registered member of the Board of Architects Malaysia (LAM), a member of the Malaysian Institute of Architects (PAM), and a facilitator for the Green Building Index (GBIF). Her career began as an architect at Arkitek Urbanisma in 2011, followed by her role at Lim WH Architect from 2012 to 2015. She joined Aspen Group in 2015 as a Project Architect and was promoted to Manager of Planning & Development in 2017. In 2018, she advanced to Divisional Director of Project, and in 2019, she assumed the role of General Manager, Central Region. With extensive experience in project management and architecture, Ar. Siti Sakina joined HCK as Senior Director of Projects, where she leads and oversees key development initiatives.
Mr. P. Chilvan A/L S. Pitchaimanickam
Senior Director, Project Implementation
Mr. Chilvan is a project implementation and construction professional with over 22 years of experience in project management, property development, contract administration, authority liaison, budgeting and stakeholder management. He has successfully led the delivery of a wide range of residential, commercial, hospitality, mixed-use developments, as well as themed attractions and water parks across Malaysia, managing projects from planning and coordination through to successful completion. As Senior Director, Project Implementation at HCK, he oversees project execution and delivery, ensuring the Group’s developments are implemented efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality, compliance and operational excellence.
Ms. Chin Yoke Yoong
Director, Sales & Credit Admin Properties Division
Ms. Chin has close to three decade’s experience working in the property industry and is primarily responsible for ensuring the smooth operations of HCK’s Sales Administration and Credit Administration departments.
This includes overseeing the sale and sub-sale documentation process for HCK’s various properties as well as attending to all relevant correspondence from bankers, lawyers and purchasers. Ms. Chin’s responsibilities also include monitoring progress billing and payment collection from purchasers. She also actively assists the Project and Marketing departments in the application and renewal of the developer license, sales and marketing permit and statutory reports.
SEGI University & Colleges
Ms. Stella Lau Kah Wai
Managing Director, Group Operations, Globalisation & Digitalisation
Ms. Stella Lau Kah Wai was appointed as Managing Director, University and Colleges in 2022. She has almost three decades of rich experience in industry, academics and management.
Stella Lau holds a B.A. (Management Science and Marketing and started her early career in the general insurance industry, training and leading the marketing teams and agencies for Sabah and Sarawak for the first seven years of her career. She then joined the higher education industry, firstly as a lecturer for a business school in Sarawak, and then joined SEGi College Sarawak in 1999. From a lecturer, she was promoted to leadership roles as Academic Programmes Manager, Head of Academic Programmes, and College Principal. She relocated to West Malaysia in 2011 and was the Chief Operating Officer for SEGi, then Chief Operating Officer for Taylors College in 2014, managing its academic programmes and operations. In 2016 she joined MAHSA University as Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Corporate Services and Academic Affairs) and Group Senior Director (Academic Quality). Her scope of responsibilities included strategic leadership and management of the academic faculties for the university and colleges. In 2020, she rejoined SEGi Group of Colleges as Chief Executive Officer and was later promoted as the Managing Director of University & Colleges in 2022 overseeing the entire group.
Stella Lau does not hold any directorship in public companies and listed issuers. She has no family relationship with any director and/or major shareholder of the Company. She has not entered into any transaction, whether directly or indirectly, which has a conflict of interest with the Company, other than those disclosed in the accompanying financial statements, and has no conviction of offences within the past five years.
Ms. Cheryl Chong Poh Yee
Managing Director, Corporate Alliances & New Initiatives
Ms. Cheryl Chong Poh Yee joined the SEGi Group in 2000 as Financial Controller and was later re-designated as Group Chief Financial Officer in 2014. In 2022, she was promoted to Managing Director, Corporate Affairs and Alliances, overseeing various corporate departments in the Group. She has more than 30 years of experience in the fields of accountancy, financial and corporate services.
Prior to joining the Group, Cheryl Chong worked for a main board public listed company in Malaysia as Financial Controller and in one of the top international accounting firms. She is a Certified Public Accountant with the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a Chartered Accountant with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants. She also holds a Master of Business Administration (International Business) from University of Southern Queensland, Australia
Dato’ John Tiong Tak Chong
Managing Director, Business Growth & Development
He holds a Bachelor of Science from Monash University, Australia, and a Diploma in Computing from Swinburne University of Technology, Australia.
Dato’ John began his career in the information technology sector with the Syslink Group before transitioning into education. In 2005, he acquired and transformed several private higher education institutions and vocational colleges across Malaysia, leading them as Group CEO. With more than 20 years of experience in the education industry, he has been instrumental in converting vocational training centres into recognised colleges.
From 2006 to 2012, he served as a board member of Perbadanan Tabung Pembangunan Kemahiran (PTPK) under the Ministry of Human Resources. Over the years, he has been actively involved in industries such as healthcare, property, construction, and education, holding key management roles.
Committed to advancing education, Dato’ John has played a pivotal role in government initiatives supporting the education and training of Sarawak’s indigenous communities, including the Penan and other minority ethnic groups. In recognition of his contributions, he was appointed as Pemanca for Kuching City Chinese Community Leader by the Sarawak Government in 2020.
Dato’ John is also an Independent Non-Executive Director of HCK Capital Group Berhad.
