We live in a society that revolves around rankings. In school, kids are ranked according to their academic achievements. The “smarter” kids will come back home proudly showing their report cards to parents how high they rank in class, compared with their peers. When they enter universities, they’d gravitate towards universities that are ranked highly.
When they enter the job market, they’d want to work for companies that rank highly in terms of career and personal growth. Even when we shop online, we tend to look at the rankings of the merchants. A merchant with high ranking given by previous customers will tend to land more businesses than one which has just started operations.
Given how important rankings are, it is gratifying to learn that SEGi University recently came out in the top 54% in the 2020 QS World University Rankings: Asia survey. To top it off, SEGi was a first-time entrance.
The university also obtained the outstanding five-stars in the categories of Teaching, Facilities, Social Responsibility, and Inclusiveness, as well as four-stars in the category of Employability. Earning a spot in QS-WUR Asia is a testament to the hard work and dedication of SEGi University’s faculty members and staff.
But rankings are not the be-all, end-all. What is more important is the commitment towards excellence and customer satisfaction. When these are taken care of, the good rankings and positive reviews will naturally follow.
