Hiichiikok Foundation celebrated its first anniversary on Saturday, 13 April 2013 in style. It has provided attendees with a non-stop itinerary of entertainment and items to capture the attention of everybody. The Foundation raised over RM72,000 from this event which was shared equally between four notable non-governmental organizations, namely, The Salvation Army, Kiwanis Down Syndrome Foundation, Yayasan Chow Kit and Protect & Save the Children.
With clever use of lighting and simple decorative materials, SEGi University’s Multi Purpose Hall was transformed into an atmosphere which complemented the theme of the event aptly.
With over 500 people attending, the event was judged to be a success. We hope to thank all the sponsors, supporters and volunteers for their invaluable contributions to this event.
The photographs below captured the mood of the night very well.

Entertainment was coming non-stop for the entire evening which helped to create a generous mood among the guests.
Trigo Trio hailed from SEGi College Subang Jaya opened the night’s entertainment with instrumental pieces from a combination of an electric keyboard, a cello and a violin.
I was very happy to see support from my business associates and friends for the night’s event, among whom were Mr. Kee Lian Yong, Datuk Thean Bok, Datuk Lee Hwa Beng and Datin Lee.
Young illusionist, Edison Lim had the crowd mesmerised by the unusual way in which he used his magic to generate a great excitement among the audience.
Master of Ceremony, Sean Lee and Bruce Lim were tasked with auction off a whole lot of donated items. They delivered on their task and raised RM18,000 from the auction alone.
One of the highlights for the event was the lucky draw where our sponsors were very generous in donating attractive items to add colours to the event. Professor Mohd. Awang is seen here doing the honour of picking some of the lucky winners.

I was very happy with the organising committee’s ability to raise over RM72,000 in a short time. My hand shake with Mr Vijay Baskar ( from PS The Children) after the mock cheques presentation ceremony was well captured by the cameraman.
There were many happy participants to the event, judging from their smiles at the end of the function.
